I’m always excited about storage that is both functional and attractive and organizing shoes (which can be an absolute necessity for some) is no exception. Here are two more great-looking pieces that could be displayed openly in a mudroom or entryway possibly – a certain improvement from openly-visible clutter of shoes.
I love the look of this cabinet – certainly a very orderly way to store shoes with doors concealing what looks like a good number of pairs. I like that this piece is available in other finishes as well in lighter wood tones.

Here is another shoe cabinet that is slightly less versatile than the Elsa piece for the sole fact that only the beech finish pictured is available. If the finish does work for existing decor, it is much more affordable at under $150 and does seem to specify that it has a 20-pair storage capacity.

This cabinet might be a little bit on the pricey end at just under $195, but I thought it was an elegant solution for shoe storage. I like that it looks like a regular piece of furniture that could probably fit right in with other pieces and has door enclosure to conceal the shoes. I like the wire mesh on the doors, it looks very unique and like reviewers have noted allow aeration. I’m not quite sure how many pairs it houses as the description doesn’t say, but it looks to provide a reasonable amount as it is measures 31″ high – so slightly taller than say, an end table.

I found this shoe cabinet with pull-out storage. It seems to be more suited for the ladies as it doesn’t accomodate larger mens’ shoes, however. I liked that it looks more like a piece of furniture than an actual storage unit, so it combines a bit of form and function. I like the choice of the three finishes, although black seems to be out of stock. I’m not crazy about the handles, but I am sure those could easily be replaced with different hardware to make it look a little more modern.

Most of the reviewers of these racks have warned about keeping close attention to the measurements of the unit as it does not seem to accomodate smaller closet doors. If you’re like me and would utilize it in a non-closet space/door (garage door) or have a pretty wide closet door these would be a good shoe storage solution. I like that it would free up floor space and don’t look as bad as some door-mounts can be. Additionally, these seem to include hardware to actually mount to the door so it would be sturdier than something that simply hooks to a door with no real mounted support.

Neu Home Over-the-Door 18 Pair Shoe Rack
I like the extra small hook storage at the bottom of this 12-pair rack. I probably would not store handbags in this way as it would put much stress on the handle, but I think it would be suitable to hang hats, and other lighter items.
