Coffee Mug Storage

We’re a regular coffee-drinking household so we’ve accumulated a lot of mugs over the years. Some are freebies without any real sentimental value, while most are fun pieces selected with care. It’s been fun to build a collection, but the cupboards are getting a little cramped and literally there is no more space left to store any more.
There aren’t a lot of storage options in general for mugs. This is especially so when they usually vary in size and can be pretty large in scale.
Mug trees are easy to find, though they still require counter space or a large area for interior cabinet storage. I don’t really like this solution too much, but I think they would be great to show off some of the more notable pieces. So, I’d probably utilize one of these for display rather than efficient storage.

Scroll Mug Rack – Coffee Mug Tree
Here is another rack with a slightly more contemporary styling in a satin nickel metal finish. The description states that it is meant to hold 6 mugs.

Euro Mug Holder (Satin Nickel) (15.1″H x 6.75″W x 6.75″D)
I like the idea of these hidden storage tools as they work with existing kitchen shelving. I’m not sure how well they would function under the weight of mugs and how accomodating they are for varieties of mugs either, but I think the idea is great and would be worth trying as they seem very affordable.
This one seems to mount under a cabinet shelf and even spins. It holds 4 mugs (though this may vary based on size).

Mounted Under Shelf Spinning Mug Rack
This holder doesn’t seem to mount with the use of any hardware, but rather, attaches on the shelf directly.
